Over the next few days, I met with community nurses. One who helped changed my bandages and my amazing cancer nurse (who has unfortunately left for a new job).
On the 6th of March I received my first zoladex injection. Thankfully I get numbing cream for this! I have recently found out when zoladex is used for cancer treatment, patients usually get local anaesthetic first as it is such a chunky needle. So gross.
But meeting my nurse was great. She is such a wonderful person. They all are, really!
The next day I went to get a wig. I was apprehensive. And I think I still am. The wig lady was lovely, and helped me pick out a wig that was most suited to my natural hair. So I left with a wig.
8th of March was haircut day. I've never been one of those girls who is hair obsessed. I did hair modelling in high school as I wasn't bothered if it was short, I knew it would just grow back! But the last few years I have let my hair grow. And I like it long. But long hair isn't really an option for chemo. So stage one was my amazing hairdresser cutting it to my shoulders. And I was pretty happy with how it looked!
While all this was happening, I was able to sneak in a few rides on my little demon goat horse. He is the best. My pony family help look after him (though I'm not 100% sure why as he is not the most loveable horse of all time), and they sent me lots of updates of his super cute face.

"Demon goat horse" hahaha. He looks like the most well behaved boy ever lolll. I seriously love these pictures of you with him!
